The route
Departure from Saint-Victor-des-Oules.
First, we head towards Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie and its artisan workshops.
Then on to Saint-Siffret, the “little Saint-Paul-de-Vence” of the Uzège — perched, luminous and full of charm.
Along the way, we enjoy the coolness of the Alzon springs, where Roman water once began its journey towards Nîmes via the Pont du Gard.
A pause in Saint-Hippolyte-de-Montaigu, discreet and authentic.
Then a gentle return in the golden light.

Saint-Victor-des-Oules
The Solex bikes wake up in silence.
We set off at the Pat’roule pace: gently, beautifully, already leaving the noise of everyday life behind.

STEP 1 · KM 5
Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie
The nearest village — and certainly not the least interesting.
Here, clay is everywhere: in the workshops, in the hands of the artisans and in the very history of the village.
• Tuesday morning — a small, authentic local farmers’ market
• Friday morning — a large, colourful weekly market, one of the most beautiful in the area after Uzès
We wander, we look around, we take our time.

STEP 2 · KM 12
Saint-Siffret
The road opens up, the scent of pine trees fills the air, and the light glides over the golden stone.
Then the village appears, often nicknamed the little Saint-Paul-de-Vence of the Uzège.
Steep lanes, ancient façades, a hilltop setting: an essential stop.
Towards Saint-Hippolyte-de-Montaigu
Small roads lined with garrigue and dry-stone walls.
Here, the Uzège reveals its wilder, more peaceful side.
A refreshing stop:the Alzon spring.
Old wash houses, clear water, cicadas in the background.
A corner of unspoilt nature.

Saint-Victor-des-Oules
The light turns honey-gold.
The pace slows down.
We return with the feeling of having experienced several different facets of the Uzège.
It’s not just a loop.
It’s a collection of villages, panoramas and stories — to be savoured with your hands on the handlebars.
